MINDSET Learning Hub
In 2016, MINDSET launched its flagship project, MINDSET Learning Hub (MLH). This is supported by a S$2 million pledge from the Jardine Matheson Group over a five-year period and in collaboration with the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
MINDSET Learning Hub aims to support people recovering from mental health issues reintegrate into the workforce by empowering them with relevant job skills through both Workforce Skills Qualifications (“WSQ”) and non-WSQ training, as well as source for job placement opportunities for them. The project will help increase readiness of clients for reintegration to the workplace.
Located at Jurong East, the 5,800 square feet hub is designed as a one-stop specialised training centre and manpower resource facility. It consists of four training classrooms and four simulated training environments, consisting of a café, a hotel room, a patient-care room and a commercial food preparation area. This allows trainees to receive hands-on experience while learning the necessary skillsets to attain meaningful employment. MINDSET Learning Hub has a training capacity of 300 trainees a year.
